Man facing drug charges

A man is facing charges for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking after a traffic stop by the Trinity Conception RCMP Thursday night in Carbonear.

Police say two men were taken into custody and a quantity of marijuana seized from the vehicle. One man was released at the scene and the other released later from the Harbour Grace RCMP detachment.

The accused will appear in Harbour Grace provincial court on Dec. 18 to answer to the charge.
