Former premier Danny Williams delivered a resounding endorsement of Premier Kathy Dunderdale, Nalcor CEO Ed Martin and the Muskrat Falls project.
Williams, speaking to the St. John's Board of Trade, spoke briefly about his involvement with the St. John’s IceCaps and a proposed multi-billion dollar development in Southlands before launching into a lengthy, detailed defence of the Muskrat Falls deal he negotiated just before retiring from politics.
Williams argued the structure of the deal is sound, and will deliver long-term wealth to people of the province.
"We've studied it to death," he said. "It's quite simply a no brainer."
