The RNC is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the person responsible for an attempted robbery on Water Street in St. John’s on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at about 10:15 p.m.
Police say a female was approached by an unknown male who attempted to grab her purse in the area outside the TD Bank on Water Street. The female was able to get away from the suspect.
At the time of the offence, the perpetrator was dressed in all black with his face completely covered. He is described as approximately 6’2” tall, 200 pounds with brown eyes.
The RNC’s Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking the assistance of the general public.
