Municipalities federation head says infrastructure needs amount to more than $170 billion

Karen Leibovici, president of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, said today that infrastructure needs in municipalities across the country amount to $171.8 billion.

She said the federation is working with the federal government on a long-term plan for funding

Leibovici was speaking at the Atlantic Mayors’ Congress meetings in Conception Bay South.

Please give me a break; Woody French in yet another photo opt. Sure the last time FCM prepared a list of 20 major infrastructure projects in Canada not one of them was in nwfoundland & Labrador. Woody was even on the Board as the Provincial rep. FCM were contacted on the Mint changing coins; did they contact St. John's as a member to inform them? NO. We are not a factor in their eyes and by having the likes of French involved only proves the point that they are a glorified social club.
