The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is investigating a report of a vehicle pedestrian accident in the area of Church Hill in St John's this morning around 12:15 a.m.

According to police a vehicle allegedly collided with one of three people walking in the area. The complainant allegedly rolled off the hood of the vehicle and sustained minor injuries.

Another two-car collision that occurred around 6:59 p.m.Sunday at the intersection of Pine Bud Avenue and Bonaventure Avenue is still under investigation.

Members of the RNC and St. John's Regional Fire Department responded to the incident. One vehicle caught fire after the collision.

According to police, there were no injuries but both vehicles sustained minor damage.  

Police are also investigating two separate vehicle fires that occurred Sunday.

The first occurred around 1 p.m. Sunday on the Wal-Mart parking lot on Merchant Drive in Mount Pearl.

The second vehicle fire occurred around 2:52 p.m. in the east-bound lane of the Outer Ring Road near the Trans-Canada Highway, about one kilometre east of Topsail Road.

Also Sunday, around 1 a.m., the RNC conducted a traffic stop on the Robert E. Howlett Highway through the Goulds area.The driver owed $23,000.00 in outstanding fines and was charged with driving while suspended and breach of a court order. He was held in custody for a court appearance today.
