Blue Rodeo to perform at Mile One Centre Jan. 19

Blue Rodeo has an anniversary date in St. John’s Jan. 19.

The country-rock band, no stranger to this province, will be back in town to perform at Mile One Centre as part of its 25th anniversary celebratory tour.

Starting with their hit single “Try,” Blue Rodeo has become a Canadian music icon. The members have sold more than four million records, won five JUNOs for Group of the Year, been inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and been given a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

Earlier this month, Blue Rodeo released “Blue Rodeo: 1987-1993,” a box set of the first five albums, remastered and repackaged, and more.

Tickets for Blue Rodeo’s Mile One show start at $25 (including tax and surcharge) and will go on sale this Saturday at noon at the Mile One box office, by calling 576-7657, or online at www.admission.com or www.evenko.ca.
