Sooner or later, he’s bound to move here for good.
Country music legend Charley Pride will return to St. John’s for another performance at Mile One Centre May 11.
With a music career that began in 1966 and has seen him earn 36 No. 1 country records and a position second to Elvis on the best-selling country artists of all time chart, Pride is still able to fill stadiums and concert halls worldwide.
Pride is stopping at Mile One on a Canadian tour, with special guest Bobby Wright, son of Kitty Wells and Johnny Wright of the Johnny and Jack duo.
Tickets for the show are $59.50 and $65.50 (tax included, plus surcharge), and will go on sale Thursday at noon at the Mile One Centre box office, by calling 576-7657, or online at www.mileonecentre.com.

Hey David, what's your problem? Personally, country music for me has the same effect as scrarcting finger nails down a chalk board, btut to each his own. He''s obviously still alive, kickmg and so are his fans and all the best to them. If you don't like him, don't go. As for your preposterous claim that we only get D-Performers, well if you consider Tom Petty, John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, Pearl Jam, Elton John, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Alan Jackson, Keith Urban and many others who have played MIle One over the past few years as D-Performers, then God bless you my son!
