The Telegram website offers only a sample of the stories our reporters, editors and photographers work hard to get to the public every day.

Wednesday’s full edition of The Telegram, on the other hand, contains much, much more, from news to opinion to our expanded Business section.

• How many people out there can say they helped change the world by wearing a T-shirt? At least two, and one of them is in St. John’s talking to high school kids this week.

Travis Price, 22, is one of the co-founders of Pink Shirt Day, Feb 27,  an annual event where students across Canada, and a growing number of other countries, wear pink clothes to school as a symbol of their willingness to stand against bullying.

• The Eastern School District took another beating last night, this time at a public meeting in Avondale to outline planned changes to shools in the area.  The proposal — close Immaculate Conception elementary school in Colliers, convert Roncalli from 7 to 12 to K-12, and move Holyrood’s Holy Cross elementary students to Roncalli. Many parents and the councils of Holyrood and Colliers are opposed.

• Opposition politicians are saying if the government can’t make some compromises, there’ll be no debate on the Muskrat Falls project in the House of Assembly. The premier says it’s the opposition that’s been clamouring for a debate, so “It would be kind of incredible if they didn’t show up for it.”
