We travelled to NL. in Sept.2012.Went over to P.A.B. on the Blue Puttees and came back on the Atlantic Vision .I am not a boat person but I have to say we had a great trip .Had a cabin on the Blue Puttees and was quite comfortable .It is a bit expensive but you can't please everyone.

@ Brenda - It would be a novel idea to bring them back however if you look at the following website it is almost unbelievable to look at where the ferries are now, in the scrap heap! http://recyclingships.blogspot.ca/2012/03/sad-ending-for-former-marine-atlantic.html

I agree David if I,m not mistaken wasn,t there already a fire board the Vision, there has been nothing but trouble with this boat. The last two years coming back from my vacation both times being delayed.Took someone else's garbage only to say look what we have.

I am waiting for the inevitable sinking of one of these ships for someone to finally wake up and pay attention to these floating death traps, and I just pray that no one drowns. We're stucjk with them now until they sink.

We travelled on both of those ferries this year and it was the most unpleasant trip we have ever had on the ferries to NL.Bring back the old ones, they are much more comfortable and you don,t feel so trapped in them as these sardine cans. It is so much better to fly but the cost is so high , we are trapped..Newfoundlanders can,t have a vacation with their families to the mainland, its so expensive on the ferries and the planes. But as usual we never get a break.Thank God we have a beautiful Province to see.
