Nicole Mary Chapman, 34, who was charged Wednesday night with impaired driving while having children in the vehicle, made a brief court appearance at provincial court in St. John’s this morning.
Chapman will be back in court again this afternoon to answer to charges of impaired driving, failing the breathalyzer, and driving while disqualified.
She was arrested about 8 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Pondview Court, St. John’s.
The accused was found to have a suspended licence Canada wide, and over $13,000 in outstanding fines.
RNC officers made the arrest after responding to a tip from the public that the woman was possibly impaired, and had open liquor in the vehicle with children on board.
She was held in custody overnight.
