Charges pending after marijuana seized in Natuashish

The RCMP says charges are pending against a resident of Natuashish after police officers seized approximately 50 grams of marijuana found in baggage at the Natuashish airstrip today aboard a commercial aircraft arriving from Goose Bay.

Charges will be laid under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The RCMP says the search and seizure is one of many that have occurred in 2012 in Labrador, and the RCMP continues efforts to disrupt the illegal drug trade in Natuashish.
