Woman arrested for 10 robberies over three day period

Woman charged with robberies

The RNC addresses the media about a case in which a woman is accused of committing 10 robberies in the St. John's and Mount Pearl area.

The RNC arrested a 35-year-old woman early this morning in relation to 10 robberies that occurred between Wednesday and early this morning in the St. John’s and Mount Pearl area.

The woman was arrested shortly before 4:30 a.m. without incident.

She is being held in custody for an appearance in provincial court today.

The dates, times and locations of the robberies are:

• Wednesday, Oct. 31 at approximately 5:40 a.m. at the Ultramar on Freshwater Road in St. John’s.

• Thursday, Nov. 1 at approximately 7:22 p.m. at Hobo’s Pizza on Empire Avenue in St. John’s; at approximately 7:34 p.m. at Need’s on Merrymeeting Road in St. John’s; at approximately 9:35 p.m. at Stockwood’s on Freshwater Road in St. John’s; at approximately 9:43 p.m. at Domino’s on Freshwater Road in St. John’s; at approximately 9:54 p.m. at Marie’s Mini Mart on Crosbie Road in St. John’s.

• On Friday, Nov. 2, at approximately 1:17 a.m. at the Ultramar on Commonwealth Avenue in Mount Pearl; at approximately 1:23 a.m. at the Irving on Topsail Road in St. John’s; at approximately 3:56 a.m. at the Ultramar on Waldegrave Street in St. John’s; and at approximately 4:06 a.m. at the Ultramar on Blackmarsh Road in St. John’s.

The RNC says cash was obtained in the commission of some of the offences, but not all. There have been no reports received of any injuries to store employees during the robberies.

RNC officers from patrol services, K9 and forensic identification section responded to the robberies. As a result of a co-ordinated response, general investigation unit made the arrest.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking the assistance of the general public.     To catch her, they were willing to grab anyone and terrorize them into a confession.that might have had the same name or description..NOT GOOD. For those that had been taken for Questioning and the "We know you did it" while this woman was out on a spree...I hope the RNC are very forcoming in making apologizes to the individual and the neighbours in the area, as this person has to walk in her neigbourhood while the neighbours peek out behind their curtians pointing fingers thinking they have a crazed lunatic liviing in their area.
