One person was taken to hospital this afternoon after a two-vehicle rear-end collision at the intersection of Bay Bulls Road and Mogridge Street in St. John’s.
The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
East-bound traffic was slowed as RNC officers directed traffic around the scene.
The St. John’s Regional Fire Department and an ambulance responded to the scene.

In response to the previous comment regarding "tailgaters", I happend to be a witness to this accident, and in this particular case, the accident was caused by the lack of signage to indicate there was an upcoming "bump". Don't get me wrong, I don't disagree at all about the issue of others driving too close. Having two young children in the backseat of my vehicle makes me quite nervous when on the roads. It isn't me that I'm afraid of, it's the other drivers - too close, and very likely on the phone and/or texting.
