The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Accident Investigation Unit is seeking the assistance of the public in relation to a two-vehicle collision that occurred on Kenmount Road at Polina Road in St. John’s, Saturday.

According to police, around 8:15 p.m., a silver Audi TT was turning left from Kenmount Road onto Polina Road when it was hit by a yellow Chevrolet Cobalt driving east on Kenmount Road. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage in the collision.

Three people were taken to hospital by ambulance where they were all treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries. Weather conditions at the time of the collision were foggy with light rain, making roads wet at the time.

RNC Accident Investigators are continuing their investigation into the collision and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or were in the immediate area to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). People can also provide information anonymously on the N.L. Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.

The RNC would also like to remind drivers to reduce their speed during adverse weather conditions. Posted speed limits are maximum speeds allowed for ideal driving conditions.
