The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Accident Investigation Unit has located a vehicle believed to have been involved in a hit and run collision that occurred on the Conception Bay South Highway Friday.

Around 10:15 p.m., a two -vehicle hit and run collision occurred on Route 60 in the area of the Conception Bay South Town Hall and the Royal Bank. Police say the suspect vehicle had been east bound and made a u-turn when it was hit in the area of the driver’s side door by a second vehicle. The suspect vehicle didn’t stop at the scene but fled west bound on the C.B.S. Highway.

The RNC said today, as a result of a media release, the owner of the suspect vehicle has come forward and notified police of their vehicle’s involvement in the collision.
