• In the wake of a gloomy report predicting Newfoundland and Labrador’s economy will shrink 0.4 per cent in 2012, businessman Bill Barry said he wanted to speak about the positive aspects of the provincial economy. “If you’re born in Newfoundland and you’re born in Canada, you’ve won the ovarian lottery,” said Barry, chairman and CEO of the Barry Group, at the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council’s Outlook conference Monday morning.
