RNC investigating ATV thefts

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate complaints involving multiple thefts of all-terrain vehicles over the last two weeks.

According to police, a break and entry occurred into a storage trailer parked in front of a commercial property on Kenmount Road sometime between Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. and Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m.

Stolen from the trailer was four, China Tao Tao, 125 CC ATV’s. Two are described as green sport camouflage ATVs and two were red and blue in color The serial numbers are L5NAAHTJXC1009085, L5NAAJTF3B1000441, L5NAAHTJ8C1008954 and L5NAAJTF8B1000435.

Sometime between Nov. 1 at 5:30 p.m. and  Nov. 2 at 8 a.m., a 2010 Arctic Cat quad ATV was stolen off a trailer in front of a home on Kestrel Drive, Paradise. That ATV is blue in color and has several dents in one of the rims. The license plate is VDV-713 and serial number is 4UF10ATV9AT214575.

Between Nov. 2 at 9 p.m. and Nov. 3 at noon, a 2000 Honda TRX 350 and a 2006 Suzuki King Quad 400 was stolen off a trailer in front of a home on Mogridge Street, St. John’s. The Honda is red in color and the Suzuki is black. No plate or serial numbers were provided.

The RNC is continuing to investigate these thefts. Anyone with information are asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). People can also provide information anonymously on the N.L. Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
