Armed robbery at Paradise convenience store

A man with his face masked entered a Marie Mini Mart on Topsail Road armed with a knife and left with an undisclosed amount of cash Wednesday evening.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called to the armed robbery around 8:45 p.m.

The person responsible is described as being male and approximately 6 feet tall.

He was wearing a grey or white hoodie.

The investigation — which has involved patrol officers, the K9 Unit, the identification division and criminal investigation division — is continuing.

Police are asking the public to call the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), with any information they might have concerning this matter.
