Newfoundlanders and Labradorians joined their fellow Canadians on Sunday in marking Remembrance Day.

Thousands of people turned out across the province to mark the occasion.

In St. John's, large crowds gathered at the National War Memorial to pay their respects to veterans and their fallen comrades.

The wind was biting at times and there was even a hint of snow on the breeze as the masses gathered along Water and Duckworth Streets to watch the proceedings.
