RNC seeking witnesses to assault with a weapon case

The RNC is investigating a serious assault with a weapon on a 31-year-old man and is requesting the public’s assistance in locating individuals who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information about it.

On Sunday, Nov. 11, about 7:05 p.m., the RNC responded to a call of a stabbing in the area of Goodview Street in St. John’s. The male victim reported he was stabbed following an altercation with an unknown male in the alley way that runs between Goodview Street and Carter’s Hill Place.

The victim is currently in hospital under observation with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as being approximately 30 years of age, 6”7” tall, average build and had short brown or black hair which stood up in the front. The unknown male was wearing a black fleece jacket and dark jeans at the time of the assault. The weapon used in this assault is unknown at this time.

Investigators with the Major Crime Unit would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
