Two men charged with uttering threats in separate incidents

A 22-year-old man was charged with uttering threats Tuesday night as a result of an incident at the Waterford Hospital in St. John's.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary received an assistance call from the hospital around 8 p.m.

According to the RNC, the man was held in custody until a court appearance.

RNC members also responded to a domestic dispute in the centre of St. John's around 8:38 p.m. Tuesday.

Upon the their arrival, the suspect fled the area.

A man was located a short while later in the Cashin Avenue area and was arrested for uttering threats, mischief, assault, resisting arrest as well as a breach of probation. He was held in custody until a court appearance.

Around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday, police recovered a vehicle that had been reported stolen. As a result of their investigation, a 13-year-old young offender was arrested.

He was released into the custody of his legal guardians and will appear in court at a later date on a charge of theft over $5,000.
