Hey Rosetta will bring its fourth annual Christmas show to Mile One Centre in St. John’s Dec. 20, with special guests Plants and Animals and East of Empire.
The band will be celebrating the release of “A Cup of Kindness Yet,” a Christmas album, which will be released Nov. 19.
The record includes “Carry Me Home,” a song written by frontman Tim Baker during the band’s recent Australian tour. The tune tells a tale of a person desperately trying to make it home for the holidays.
Other tracks on the record include an interpretation of “O Come, O Come Emmanuel,” “The First Snow,” and “New Year Song,” a staple of Hey Rosetta!’s holiday concerts that transforms into a rendition of “Auld Lang Syne.”
Tickets for the show range from $30 to $40 (including tax and service charge) and will go on sale noon Friday at the Mile One Centre box office, by calling 576-7657 and online at www.sonicconcerts.com.
