RNC seeking Information on break, entry, assault

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) General Investigation Unit is seeking the public’s assistance to identify suspects in relation to a break and entry and assault that occurred in the area of Memorial University Campus in St. John’s, Monday.

Around 3:40 a.m. Monday, RNC responded to a break and entry and assault that occurred at a residential property on the Allandale Road side of Memorial University.

According to police, stolen from the home were an Apple iPad and a set of Monster headphones. The complainant went outside to check the area and approached an unknown male and female that they had seen in the immediate area. The unknown male allegedly assaulted the complainant before fleeing the area on foot. Police say the complainant suffered minor injuries in the assault.

The male suspect is described as five feet, nine inches tall, average build, with a longer style hair and was wearing a grey winter coat at the time. The female suspect is described as five feet, five inches tall. with long hair in a pony tail and was wearing a purple jacket with a black back pack.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this offence and is seeking the assistance of the general public. Investigators are asking anyone with information in relation to this incident to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
