Police investigate violent Grand Falls-Windsor break-in

Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP are investigating a violent break-in that happened Saturday morning in the community.

A 29-year-old was assaulted during the break-in, which happened at a home on Thirteenth Avenue. Police said the victim was treated in hospital for injuries and released the same day.

RCMP advise the incident appears to be an isolated one and said there is no risk to the general public. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
