Man, woman facing drug-related charges

A man and woman from Happy Valley-Goose Bay are facing drug-related charges following a drug seizure from a residence in the Labrador community on Friday.

RCMP officers, acting on a search warrant, seized approximately four ounces of marijuana along with cash and other drug-related paraphernalia during the search.

Charges against both accused include possession of illegal drugs for the purpose of trafficking .

Members from the Goose Bay detachment and the Labrador Street Level Drug Unit carried out the search.

Both accused were released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
