Woman dies in motor vehicle accident on Bay D’Espoir Highway

A 56-year-old woman died as a result of a motor vehicle accident overnight Monday at Bernard's Brook on the Bay D'Espoir Highway, the RCMP said today in a news release.

The woman is from Milltown, however, the name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Bay D'Espoir RCMP say they received a call seeking help finding an overdue person. Police officers, with assistance from fire departments in St Alban's and Conne River, located the accident scene.

Alcohol and speed do not appear to have been factors.

A lady just died. Why mention alcohol and speed????
