Woman charged with driving while suspended, owing $3,000 in fines

A 27-year-old woman was charged with driving while suspended and was found to owe $3,000 in outstanding fines when the vehicle she was driving was pulled over by the RNC Tuesday.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Empire Avenue and Carpasian Road in St. John’s.

The woman was released to attend court at a later date.

The vehicle was impounded.
