Marystown RCMP investigate retail thefts

Marystown RCMP are investigating thefts involving a pair of local businesses where goods worth thousands of dollars were reported stolen.

According to a new release issued Wednesday evening, two Yamaha outboard motors were stolen from Evans Sales & Services Ltd. in Marystown. The motors are said to be an F60 and an F70.

RCMP officers are also investigating the theft of four bundles of blue Cladmate styrofoam insulation from G & H Home Specialties Inc. The insultation is reportedly one inch thick and four-by-eight feet in length.

Police said it is believed both incidents occurred last weekend.

Anyone with information relating to either case is asked to contact Marystown RCMP at 279-3001 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Anonymous tips can be provided through the Crime Stoppers websites at www.crimestoppersnl.com.

    A Bayman with two outboard motors......you'll never find them. Don't all baymen have two outboard motors? They'll just blend into their surroundings.

      Hey Original Townie... the name certainly fits. Perhaps if you were smart enough to find "the bay" you would see that there is actually life beyoung the "overpass".... get a life and an education... perhaps us "baymen" wouldn't have to come in and run St. John's for ya!!
