RNC seek public help in solving break and enter

The RNC is requesting the public’s assistance in connection with a recent break and enter on Torbay Road in St. John’s this morning.

About 5:10 a.m., the Canadian Tire Gas Bar at 46 Torbay Rd. was broken into and the items stolen included a quantity of cigarettes and beer.

The suspect was described as wearing black pants and a black hoodie. The male fled the scene on foot north on Torbay Road.

The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this offence and is seeking the assistance of the general public.

Investigators are asking anyone with information in relation to this break, enter and theft to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.

The RNC is also issuing a reminder that any person in possession of stolen property can be charged criminally under the Criminal Code of Canada.
