A Corner Brook resident got a rude awakening early Saturday morning when someone crashed a car into another vehicle parked outside their house.
The collision happened at a home on Georgetown Road and was reported to local RNC at 4:15 a.m. The second vehicle drove off, leaving the parked car with minor damage.
About a half hour later police found the Honda Civic suspected of causing the damage — it was on fire on an old railway bed.
The Corner Brook Fire Department was called in to put out the fire. An RNC police dog team was also called in to search the area.
No arrests had been made in this case as of Saturday afternoon.
Anyone with information on these incidents are asked to contact Corner Brook RNC immediately at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)
