Corner Brook nightclub worker assaulted

A 48-year-old man from Meadows, near Corner Brook, has been charged with assault causing bodily harm after an altercation at a local bar.

Corner Brook RNC was called to a club in the Broadway area of that community at about 1 a.m. on Saturday.

Officers found a hurt employee of the club who had suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect had left in a cab but he was found and arrested minutes after leaving the bar.

The man was charged and release to appear in court on January 15, 2013.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
