A St. John’s man has been remanded in police custody following his initial arrest on Friday for impaired driving.

Jeffrey Donald Heale, 32, appeared in Corner Brook Provincial Court on Saturday, and is due back in court for a bailing hearing Monday morning.

According to a Deer Lake RCMP news release, police pulled over the vehicle Heale was driving near the community of St. Jude’s Friday afternoon. Police had received a report concerning a vehicle that was observed driving “all over the road.”

Heale was arrested for impaired driving. Police believe he was under the influence of drugs. He was also charged with four counts of breaching conditions of an undertaking.
