Men arrested consuming alcohol after liquor stolen during break-in

Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP officers were called to an intrusion alarm at Skipper Joe's in Spruce Park about 2 a.m. this morning where they found a smashed front window and a quantity of alcohol stolen.

Investigation revealed that two suspects were responsible.

At about 3:30 a.m., the officers were called to a disturbance in a backyard of a residence not far from Skipper Joe's.

Upon arrival, one male fled on foot and another was observed consuming alcohol in a shed and was one of the two suspects wanted for the break and enter at Skipper Joe’s.

The first male was arrested and a quantity of alcohol was seized.

The second male suspect was arrested a short time later in the Spruce Park area.

Both were held in custody.
