The Sheshatshiu RCMP says a vehicle fire on Edwards Drive in the Labrador community about 10:30 p.m. Sunday is being treated as arson.

Upon arrival to the location, the RCMP noted a pickup with the cab fully engulfed in flames.

Once the flames were extinguished by the Sheshatshiu Fire Department, an RCMP fire investigator examined the pickup.

The pickup had been in an accident several days before and was left on the side of the road where it was now burned.

Investigation thus far has determined that the fire is suspicious.
