UPDATE: Kilbride pumping station back online

According to the City of St. John’s The pump which supplies water to the Kilbride area of the city had failed, therefore residents in this area experienced no water pressure for a period of time. The pumping station is now back online.

The city continues to work on repairs to the Bay Bulls Big Pond Water Treatment Plant which was shut down Thursday afternoon after a fire in an electrical room.

Residents of Kilbride are reminded if they experience discoloured water to please not run their tap as water rationing is still in place throughout the capital city region.
