The RNC Corner Brook region is continuing to investigate an overnight break and enter at a commercial business on Broadway.

About 1:10 a.m. this morning, the RNC was called about a break and enter in progress at the unnamed business. The RNC says the name of the business will not be released at the request of the owner.

An employee inside the building said an unknown male forced entry into the business by breaking out a window in the business door. The suspect was scared off when detected by the employee.

RNC Police Dog Services was called to the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time. The RNC forensic identification section is presently examining the scene.

The suspect is described as a male, approximately 18-19 years of age wearing a dark-coloured hoodie.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
