Residents of St. John's are advised there is a water main break on Fahey Street from street number 33 to 119, all of Chapman Crescent, and Old Petty Harbour Road from Silverton Street to the end.

Crews are currently working on repairs and they are anticipated to be completed by approximately 5 p.m. today.

Area residents and surrounding residents may experience loss of water, low water pressure or discoloured water. If you are experiencing discoloured water, run your cold water tap in your bath until it clears.

As a result fo the water main break, the Kilbride Lions Community Centre is closed until further notice.

The Children's after school program and the 50 plus card program has been cancelled for today,

We should start a lottery on when and where the next water main break will be. My guess is that there will be at least one more before Friday. We're about overdue at this point for an Allendale Road break... though Portugal Cove road is always a safe bet. We can use the lottery profits to help fund city council!
