One man injured in Torbay accident

One man was taken to hospital following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Mahon’s Lane and Salerno Place in Torbay this morning.

Firefighters from the St. John’s Regional Fire Department had to use extrication equipment to free the man from a pickup that was extensively damaged in the accident.

Firefighters from Torbay, an ambulance and the RNC were also on the scene.

Traffic was interrupted at the intersection while crews were on the scene.
