The RNC’s Major Crime Unit has released a video in relation to an assault that occurred
in the area of George and Duckworth streets in downtown St. John’s Sunday, Sept. 23, at approximately 3:45 a.m.

The RNC hopes the video will help any members of the general public to come forward with any information they may have in connection with the assault.
While on patrol on the morning of the assault, RNC officers were approached by a male on Duckworth Street who advised police he had just been stabbed. Additional members from RNC criminal investigation division, K9 Services and forensic identification section responded to the scene.
The man was treated for significant injuries and has since been released.
The investigation is continuing into this matter.
In particular, the RNC is looking to speak with the male seen walking the dog in the video.
