Man arrested for illegal driving at police roadblock

A 34-year-old man was arrested during a traffic safety roadblock set up in the Flatrock area by the RNC Tuesday night.

The man was charged with driving while suspended, driving without insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to transfer ownership of the vehicle.

The man was detained at the lock-up for court this morning and the vehicle was impounded.

In other incidents, a 37-year-old man was arrested about 11 p.m. in the Nascopic Crescent area for driving while suspended. He owed $8,000 in outstanding fines.

The man was held at the lock-up for court this morning and the vehicle was impounded.

About 10:30 p.m., a male youth was arrested in the C.B.S. area for trespassing at night, possession of stolen goods, four breaches of a court order, and theft from vehicles.

The youth was detained for court today.
