Man charged with armed robbery in relation to Nov. 23 incident

The RNC has charged a 41-year-old man in relation to an armed robbery at a commercial business in St. John’s.

On Friday, Nov. 23, at approximately 9:30 p.m., RNC patrol officers, K9 and the Criminal Investigation Division responded to an armed robbery at Esso on Torbay Road.

A suspect entered the store and demanded cash. The male then fled the area in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators within the RNC Criminal Investigation Division have now charged the accused with armed robbery and disguise with intent.

The accused was arrested without incident Tuesday evening and has been held to appear in court today.
