RNC seek witnesses to a hit and run collision

The RNC accident investigation unit is seeking the assistance of the public in relation to a hit and run collision that occurred on Mundy Pond Road in St. John’s Tuesday.

Between 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., a single-vehicle collision occurred into a house in the area of Mundy Pond Road. The suspect vehicle pulled into the driveway and failed to stop before hitting the house.

There was extensive damage done to the home and foundation as a result. The suspect vehicle is described as a small sedan with studded tires.

Accident Investigators are continuing their investigation into this collision and are appealing to anyone in the area who may have witnessed the incident to notify the police.

Police would like to alert all auto body repair facilities and parts suppliers to contact them with information on suspect vehicles as required under section 172 of the Highway Traffic Act.

    Description , A small Sedan with studded tires ? seems odd . If they could tell it had studded tires there should be a better description than that. At least the color.!
