RNC investigating possible impaired driving incident

A 30-year-old man may be facing impaired driving charges after he was taken to hospital Thursday afternoon following a single vehicle accident on St. David’s Avenue in the east end of St. John’s.

About 2 p.m., RNC officers responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the east end. Prior to officers arriving, the suspect vehicle became involved in the accident.

The driver attempted to leave the scene, but was quickly located by the police. He was taken to hospital for observation. The investigation in continuing.
