The Telegram website offers only a sample of the stories our reporters, editors and photographers work hard to get to the public every day.

Tuesday’s full edition of The Telegram, on the other hand, contains much, much more, from news to opinion to our expanded Family section.

• A man arrested last night in connection to a string of sexual assaults is due in court this morning. Hours after holding a Monday afternoon news conference linking one suspect to five separate assaults in the downtown area, police reported they had a man in custody. Check www.thetelegram.com for details on his court appearance.

• Premier Kathy Dunderdale said Monday as far as she’s concerned, the government would be on the hook for cleaning up an environmental mess at the abandoned Abitibi mill in Grand Falls-Windsor even if it hadn’t accidentally expropriated it in 2008. But she still plans legislation to make sure the government doesn’t get stuck with the bill again.

• It’s going to cost the City of St. John’s $8 million more in 2013 to provide the same services to its residents than it did last year, and it will do it without increasing homeowners’ water and property taxes. However, the city will receive more revenue as a result of higher property assessments that will see the value of some properties increase by more than 47 per cent.
