The Telegram website offers only a sample of the stories our reporters, editors and photographers work hard to get to the public every day.

Wednesday’s full edition of The Telegram, on the other hand, contains much, much more, from news to opinion to our expanded Business section.

• The restaurant group working to fill the KFC void outside the St. John’s area says it wants to do the same within the city.

After The Telegram reported this week that Mary Brown’s had bought two St. John’s KFC outlets and was considering purchasing the remaining five, the New Brunswick-based Franchise Management Inc. said it hopes to open six locations next year.

• The provincial government is rewriting the rules when it comes to electricity rates for Labrador industrial customers — a move Natural Resources Minister Jerome Kennedy said will result in more money for the government and more economic activity in the Big Land.

• It appears MV Lyubov Orlova’s two-year stay in St. John’s harbour may finally be coming to an end. A tugboat was seen in the harbour Tuesday, and an unconfirmed report suggests the ship may be removed from the harbour within the next week.
