Man charged with impaired after found passed out behind wheel of vehicle

A 52-year-old man was charged with impaired driving after he was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle about 4 a.m. today in the area of Goodview Street in St. John’s.

The RNC responded to the area after receiving a report of a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner.

The man was also charged with refusing the breathalyzer demand.

He was later released from custody to appear in court at a later date.
