Board to vote on futures of schools

The Eastern School District will hold a public meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. to determine the futures of five schools.

The schools that have been recommended for closure are Catalina Elementary, SwiftCurrent Academy, Epiphany Elementary in Heart’s Delight, Whitbourne Elementary and Immaculate Conception in Colliers.

Notices of motion and recommendations affecting the five schools will be voted on at the meeting, to be held at Holy Redeemer School on the Main Highway in Spaniard’s Bay.
