Sentences 8 and 9: “Change of these gun policies is long, long long overdue. This is not the 1700's anymore.” I agree that some gun policies need to be changed, but it is ours, not theirs. I’d like to see a mass shooting rate in this country that is similar to theirs. If that were the case, we would have had one or no mass shootings this year, not two. This is not the 1700's anymore and some things have changed, but gun violence isn’t one of them. I don’t worry about cholera, but I see the people of the world being subjugated everywhere that there are no firearms (ahem, China) and it concerns me because we are not some sort of superior race that is immune to such threats as the rise of fascist movements (ahem, liberals). I also see people being victimized by criminals still and I know that those criminals would be deterred if they understood that there was a high likelihood of getting shot while committing their crimes (ahem, Gun Free Zones). Try informing yourself and doing some research next time instead of wasting everyone’s time with emotional misinformation. I took the time to read your side's propaganda so why don't you be open-minded like you claim to be, pick up a copy of an NRA magazine, and read it

Sentence 7: “Imagine how the parents of a dead child feels and how much they love the US free access to guns.” If you had any knowledge of Connecticut, you would know that they were an active participant in the Revolutionary War and that they have laws that allow for both concealed and open carry of pistols. They love the Second Amendment and their laws reflect that. They believe in the right of common men to overthrow dictatorships and the rights of common men to defend themselves from criminals. Those parents right now are blaming the killer, not the tools he used. They understand the foolishness of blaming inanimate objects. Blaming a murderer’s gun is as foolish as blaming a drunk driver’s car.

Sentence 6: "A few restritive rules will not hurt responsible gun owners, but they just might have saved a childs life in some of these cases." Actually, the LGR (the few restrictive rules to which you're referring, if I'm not mistaken) caused severe harm to thousands of people. It caused wrongful convictions and millions of manhours of incarceration because of misplaced and forgotten paperwork, incidents as simple as forgetting to bring a piece of paper into the woods with you. There was no such thing as forgiveness or, "Go home and get it and show it to me.” Additionally, the gun registry (in it's entireity) was used to confiscate peoples’ property. It was used to remove every single .25 and .32 cal. pistol from this country and every Steyr-Aug .22. No one was ever reimbursed for their stolen property. Finally, I challenge you to quote a case where a life was saved by the registry. I know you cannot. It was made to appease people like yourself whose knowledge of firearms is based purely on popular misinformation.

Do u honestly think that a gun registration law will stop anyone from obtaining a gun if they want one?It will not make anyone feel any better if the weapon was or was not registered.

I am shaking, trembling, and crying my heart out. I've been watching this horrific unbelievable tragedy on T.V. I cannot, nor would I even want to, comprehend such heartless cruely. These little innocent children, more than likely, couldn't wait to get their Christmas holidays and were all excited about Santa Claus arriving at their homes next week. Now look look where they'll be Christmas morning, as well as the absolute heartbreak of their families. Oh my God, please help them.

Well once again we see a great use of the free access to guns by americans again. And now thanks to out buddy Harper, Canada's rules on guns have been relaxed. Thanks there Stephen. Keep it up and soon every crazy will have free access to automatic weapons like the US. When are we gonna learn. A few restritive rules will not hurt responsible gun owners, but they just might have saved a childs life in some of these cases. Imagine how the parents of a dead child feels today and how much they love the US free access to guns. Change of these gun policies is long, long long overdue. This is not the 1700's anymore.

  Your post is based purely on emotional nonsense and is completely bereft of facts, SICK OF IT. Let's apply some facts to your lack of understanding. Sentence 1: "Well once again we see a great use of the free access to guns by americans again." SICK OF IT, Canada has had two mass shootings this year. America has had a half a dozen. Sounds bad, no? Wrong. There are tens times as many of us as them. Therefore, we have far more mass shootings than they do on a per capita basis and it's purely because of our lack of concealed carry laws. All of the mass shootings in North America have one thing in common: They happen in Gun-Free Zones.

  Sentence 4: "Keep it up and soon every crazy will have free access to automatic weapons like the US." A few things. a. Anyone can get automatic weapons. The only thing that has to be done is the right criminal relationships have to cultivated. Or you can manufacture them yourself from scratch using power tools and steel, like Jason Loder of Gander did (his story was featured in this paper). b. The shooter in this case used a semi-automatic weapon, which is perfectly legal to own in Canada. He also used large magazines, which are not legal but are easily manufactured by power tools (as long as you have a little knowledge). c. You can own automatic weapons in Canada. It requires that you get a Prohibited Firearms Licence, which I will grant you is difficult, but is not impossible.
