Pedestrian sustains serious but non-life-threatening injuries

Possible witnesses to a hit and run that took place on Rankin Street in St. John’s Friday, Dec. 14 are asked to help the RNC in its investigation of the matter.

Between 9 and 10 p.m. Friday, a vehicle struck a 26-year-old man on the south end of the street and left the scene without providing information or assistance to the victim.

It is believed the vehicle had turned from a side street. The man was sent to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, an RNC news release states.

Anyone who has any information in relation to the collision is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1- 800-222-TIPS (8477). You can also provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
