RNC investigating assault in downtown St. John's

The RNC is looking for the public’s help solving an investigation of a physical assault that took place in downtown St. John’s last week.

On Friday, Dec. 14, a 44-year-old man was assaulted in an alleyway between Duckworth and Water streets — the one east of Vogue Optical on Duckworth Street, according to the victim — by three or four unknown males. The victim was treated for serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, a news release from the RNC reports.

The suspects are described as young, about 5-10 to 6-0 tall, and wearing dark hoodies.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Major Crime Unit at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can now provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
